Iran to hold Int’l Confab on Linguistic Heritage

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA – Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization plans to hold an International Conference on Linguistic Heritage aimed to promote the Persian-language. The conference is slated for February 22-23, 2015, concurrent with the International Mother Language Day. The event is being planned by the organization's Linguistics research center. The deadline for receiving abstracts of research papers is Nov.22. The works must be written on linguistics, epigraphy, new researches on Iranian ancient languages and numismatics. Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization said that the conference will be held to preserve Iran's precious linguistic works, blending the country's different cultures as well as presenting commonalities of other language communities in Iran. /end
