Iran-Japan Cultures, Basis Of Asian Civilization - Official

Tehran, Oct 8, IRNA - Head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad here on Monday described the Iranian and Japanese cultures as the basis for civilization in the ancient Asia. Khorramshad made the remarks in a meeting with Japan's Ambassador to Tehran Kinichi Komano, stressing the need to strengthen convergence among the Asian nations. He added that Tehran and Tokyo are capable of preparing ground for achieving the convergence. He further said Iran and Japan enjoy considerable capacities for fostering cultural cooperation. For his part, the Japanese envoy underlined the need for further expansion of cultural relations between the two nations and expressed his satisfaction with the efforts made during his tenure in Iran in line with promotion of all-out ties between the two friendly countries./end
