Iran Leader pardons, commutes sentences of 1,086 inmates

Tehran, Nov 24, IRNA - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Saturday pardoned or commuted prison terms of 1,086 convicts. The pardon was granted at the request of the country’s Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Islam Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) coincides with that of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), the sixth Shia Imam.
