Iran Minister Of Co-op, Labor And Social Affairs Arrives In Baghdad

Baghdad, Oct 22, IRNA – Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Affairs Abdol-Reza Sheikholeslami arrived in Baghdad at the head of a high-ranking delegation to discuss issues of mutual interest and avenue to promote bilateral ties in different fields. He will sign an agreement with his Iraqi counterpart to promote capacities of mutual cooperation, IRNA reported. Sheikholeslami told IRNA upon arrival in Baghdad that the Iranian delegation’s visit to Baghdad will open a new chapter in bilateral ties. The minister who is visiting Iraq at the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart Nasar al-Rabiei said that promoting cooperation in the field of technical and pre-vocational education, dispatching experts to Iraq, holding specialized and educational courses and paving the way for upgrading cooperation between the two countries’ private sectors are among the objectives of his Baghdad visit, his first official visit to Iraq. Al-Rabiei described Iran as a country with a ancient civilization and said that it has gained remarkable progress and Iraq is keen on sharing experience with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Referring to his country’s various needs, he added that long joint borders and the cultural affinities and longstanding neighborly relations would help further develop bilateral ties and Iraq is ready to cooperate with Iran in all the fields.
