Iran Naval Forces Save Panamanian Cargo Ship From Pirates

Tehran, May 17, IRNA - Iranian naval forces on Wednesday rescued a Panamanian-flagged cargo ship 'Cruiser Heilan with 25 crew on board from pirates in the Sea of Oman. According to the Iranian Navy Public Relations Department,the warship “Behregan” was immediately sent to the scene of conflict upon receipt of SOS from the Panamanian cargo ship. Upon arrival of the Iranian marines, the pirates escaped. The captain of the Panamanian cargo ship thanked the Iranian naval forces for their timely assistance./end
