Iran, Nicaragua call for boosting economic ties

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and the Nicaraguan Ambassador to Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE Mohamed Farrara Lashtar in a meeting on Saturday stressed enhancing bilateral relations in the economic fields. Amirabdollahian met and held talks with Lashtar on the sidelines of the 'First session of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations' here in Tehran, Iran. Referring to the high level of political ties between the two states, Amirabdollahian stressed the need to develop relations between the two countries in the economic areas. Amirabdollahian thanked Nicaragua's president and vice president for offering condolences to Iran over Shah Cheragh terrorist attack.
