Iran-Pakistani Province To Boost Co-op In Education, Health Sectors

Islamabad, July 24, IRNA – Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Iran Tuesday agreed to enhance cooperation in different sectors including education, health and tourism and exchange of delegations for benefits of people of both countries. Both sides agreed during a meeting between Khyber Pakthtunkhwa government spokesman and Health Minister Shaukat Ali Yousfzai, and Counsel General of Iran at Peshawar, Hassan Darwaish Wand, in Peshawar the provincial capital. Speaking on the occasion, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said mutual cooperation in different sectors would make positive and far reaching effects and will bring people of both countries much closer. Shaukat Yousafzai said the government was ready to extend cooperation with Iran in any field, adding that geographically “We are located in a region which necessitated mutual progress and development for benefits of both the countries.” He said the government of Pakistan Tarhik-e-Insaf party in the province will have friendly and brotherly relations with neighboring countries and it was earnest desire to promote peace and harmony in the region by promoting bilateral relations. The Iranian Counsel General vowed to promote relations with Pakistan in several fields. He expressed satisfaction with the current level of relationship./end
