Iran plans to export home-made cell phone

Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 23 By Umid Niayesh - Trend: An Iranian cell phone manufacturer company which produces various mobile phones under the brand name GLX plans to export its products to neighboring countries. Javad Saeedi, the managing director of Hamrah Gooya Arvand Communication Company said that the company is studying exports to Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran’s ISNA news agency reported Nov. 23. Saeedi said that the company has produced over 300 models of mobile phones so far, adding currently 25 models of GLX cell phone exist in the markets. The price of the company’s smart phone models varies from $50 to $200, saeedi said. He added that the GLX smart phone models work with Android operation system. The company’s current smart phones support android 4.2, meanwhile the new models will be equipped with android 4.4, Saeedi said.
