Iran Pres.: Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque Belongs To Mankind

Isfahan, Nov 1, IRNA – Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed Wednesday structures as old as Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque are in fact global and belong to entire mankind. President Ahmadinejad made the comment in a ceremony marking the UNESCO-sponsored International Registration of Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque. “Many of the visitors of the Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque are non-Muslims, believing in different religions and citizens of various countries, but after arriving in this building the feel safe and secure, and gain a spiritual feeling of unity (with the Creator),” the president added. He reiterated, “It does not matter whether a building would be a mosque, a church, or the Imam (P) Square (former Naqsh-e Jahan Sq), as the important point is that the building in question should manifest the unity, tranquility, and return to innate nature of the human being in the visitor.” President Ahmadinejad considered the cultural heritage of a nation as their identities, reiterating, “If this identity would be taken away from a nation that nation would have trouble in distinguishing its path.” He pointed out that for preserving the historical sites great investments are made, emphasizing, “The cultural heritage of a nation is their greatly precious resource and such sites are used for evaluating the nations at international societies.” Ahmadinejad said that the Isfahan Ancient (Atiq) Congregational (Jame’a) Mosque is one of the prides of the Iranian Islamic architecture and a part of the heritage of the mankind, adding, “This historical site is unique from the architectural, geometrical, and engineering points of the view, and even the topmost architects in the world cannot find any faults with the architecture of this building.” He added, “The atmosphere changes during the centuries have not been able to damage this building the slightest bit, which shows how scientifically advanced the Iranians were thousands of years ago.” The president said that the Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque as a precious work of art, reiterating, “The great values of this building is not merely due to its engineering and architectural values, but due to its dynamism, its gracefulness, and the feeling of tranquility that this building generates in every human being.” Noting that in order to construct historical sites in other parts of the world many slaves have lost their lives, reiterating, “In construction of the Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque you cannot find even a single case of a construction worker whose wage had not been fully paid.” Ahmadinejad said that the other historical sites in the world were constructed to bring fame for individuals, adding, “The constructors of the Isfahan Ancient Congregational Mosque erected this place of worshiping God merely for worshiping the Creator and for the human beings’ paving their path towards perfection, and beyond doubt this structure invites the human beings to the highest peaks of perfection of the humanity.” The president congratulated the prosperous birth anniversary of (the 10th Shi’a Imam Ali al-Naqi) al-Hadi (P) and the upcoming Qadir-e Khom Eid (marking the divine appointment of Imam Ali (P) by Prophet Muhammad (P) as his immediate successor) adding, “The Qadir Eid is the greatest celebration cause for the entire mankind, as that is the day for the human beings’ connection with the perfect human being.” Pointing out that the entire human beings are by their innate nature after achieving perfection, wellbeing in this world and salvation in the hereafter, he said, “The only way for achieving true perfection and wellbeing is finding the perfect human being (on earth).” Ahmadinejad said that an Imam (P) is a perfect human being, adding, “The entire groupings and becoming various tribes and factions are fabricate by Satins, while the only path that leads the human beings towards God is following the same perfect human being.” He said that severing the relation between a human being and the Imam (P) is that individual’s getting lost in the midst of darkness, adding, “Satan’s efforts has always been aimed at severing the relation between the human being and the Imam (P), because anyone whose this relation is severed has truly lost his everything.” The president pointed out that throughout history there have been individuals who have acted just the same as Satan, blocking the path of the people and depriving them of truly recognizing their Imams (P), emphasizing, “Such people existed even during the life spans of the Seal of Prophethood (Prophet Muhammad – P) and the Emir of the Pious Believers (Imam Ali –P), too, and they prevented the full meeting of the people in the existence of the Prophet (P).” He reiterated, “Treating the Imam unjustly is treating God unjustly and many people do unjust about the Imam (P) in the framework of sympathizing with him, introducing him in a way that the people would assume that the Imam’s behavior, too, is the same as theirs.” Ahmadinejad noted, “Some people eat the brad that God has provided for them, but pray for the others instead, and some people create a shield using the Imam to safeguard their own lives.” He said the only way for man to achieve well-being in this world and salvation in the hereafter is joining the perfect human being, adding, “Anyone who claims he is after the well-being and salvation of the mankind minus the perfect human being is a great liar,” The president pointed out that many people claim they are capable for fixing everything great and small, adding, “These people could not even fix themselves, and still they claim they could fix absolutely everything.” Ahmadinejad emphasized, “Anyone who to be a reformer, and the harbinger of a better world, but he has not recognized the perfect human being, is a liar.” He meanwhile considered Isfahan as a living museum, adding, “Isfahan, due to having brave people, who have strong wills, who safeguard the human values, is beyond the tangible heritage.” /end
