Iran President Highlights Role Of Media In Public Life

Tehran, March 3, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad highlighted role of media in the public life, stressing precise and momentous coverage of news as a way to attract and maintain people’s trust. The president made the remarks here on Saturday during a ceremony to inaugurate two new national television channels. Outlining the growing roles of media in public life, he reiterated that the role of media is unique and irreplaceable in illustrating the values and ideals of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Ahmadinejad believed that national security was the only borderline for media people and urged them to promote unity and peace./end
