Iran Ready To Dispatch Humanitarian Aid To Pakistan

Tehran, Sept 25, IRNA – Following a strong earthquake in southwestern Pakistan, the head of Iran Red Crescent Society Mohammad Farhadi on Tuesday voiced readiness to dispatch humanitarian aid to quake-hit areas in the neighboring country. In a message to the head of Pakistani Red Crescent Society, Farhadi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and the Pakistani official. A strong earthquake, measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale hit Pakistani southwestern Balochistan province earlier in the day which killed over 25 people and injured dozens more. Officials said that there are not enough health facilities in the affected areas and the injured will be shifted to other areas after rescue teams arrive in the region./end
