Iran receiving 2nd part of Russian S-300 delivery

Baku, Azerbaijan, July 1 By Ilgar Emil – Trend: The second part of Russian S-300 air defense missile system delivery to Iran is being realized, Commander of Iran's Khatam ol-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili told journalists, Fars reported June 1. The first part of S-300 surface-to-air missile delivery was realized to Iran in April. The $800-million contract, signed in 2007, was frozen by Moscow in 2010 due to the UN Security Council's sanctions, but President Vladimir Putin unfroze it in 2015. Esmaili said the S-300 would be deployed in Iran by March 2017 entirely.
