Iran rejects Wall Street Journal claim about threat for a regional country

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani on Wednesday rejected a recent claim by Wall Street Journal about threat to a regional country and raising trumped-up allegations about the Islamic Republic of Iran in this regard. He said that such biased propaganda is waged by the Western and the Zionist media to create a negative atmosphere against Iran and destruct Iran’s positive approach to regional countries. Iran will continue the policy of good neighborliness with all neighboring countries based on mutual respect and within the framework of international principles, the spokesman said, adding that Iran believes that enhancement of security and stability in the region has to be seen in the establishment of constructive interaction with neighbors.
