Iran-Syria business people urged to promote economic ties

Damascus, Oct 15, IRNA – Iranian and Syrian businessmen were urged to get more acquainted with the economic opportunities of the two countries to help develop bilateral ties. Addressing a meeting with Syrian merchants and businessmen in Damascus, Iranian Ambassador to Syria Javad Torkabadi said on Sunday that relations have been established between Iranian and Syrian private sectors and investors since the recent international exhibition in Damascus. Iranian and Syrian business operators are attempting to pave the way for developing economic exchanges, he said. Torkabadi expressed hope that the private sectors of the two countries help strengthen bilateral economic relations.
