Iran takes Turkish State Railways as model

ANKARA (A.A) - Iran took High-Speed Train (YHT) technology of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) as a model. Iranian officials, who will speed up the trains and reconstruct the rails in their country, held a series of meetings in Turkey between January 16 and 20. The guest delegation was briefed about Ankara-Eskisehir YHT line, the trains, signaling systems and facilities. Iranian officials told AA that they would modernize the existing trains and lines in Iran, and they wanted to benefit from Turkey's YHT experiences.
