Iran urges resolving situation in Syria

Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA - Senior Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji on Wednesday called for resolving the situation in Syria. He made the remarks in a meeting with UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the 3rd summit concerning Syria that is underway in Geneva. Pedersen, for his part, hailed Iran for supporting the Constitutional Committee, describing talks in the first day as fruitful.
