Iranian, Chinese national libraries to expand cooperation

Beijing, March 17, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to China Ali-Asghar Khaji on Tuesday said that National Library of Iran and China will expand cooperation. He made the remarks in a meeting with Director of the National Library of China (NLC), Han Yongjin. Khaji said Iran is willing to develop ties between national library of Iran and China. He referred to good cooperation between Iranian and Chinese national libraries and signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and said necessary ground is prepared for the purpose. He cited three rounds of meetings between Iranian and Chinese presidents over the past one-and-a half years, saying it is sign of strategic cooperation between the two countries. Khaji said Chinese president is soon to visit Iran and said the visit will mark a turning point in mutual ties.
