Iranian delegation to attend Castro's commemoration service

Tehran, Nov 26, IRNA – A delegation from Iran will attend the commemoration service of late Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Saturday. Cuba state television quoted Cuban President Raul Castro as saying that Fidel Castro had passed away on Friday at 07:00 p.m. local time after years of illness. Castro was a Cuban politician and revolutionary, who governed the Republic of Cuba from 1959 to 1976 as prime minister and from 1976 to 2008 as president. He had ceded power to his younger brother, Raul, because of worsening health condition. 1378/IRNA
