Iranian director animates ‘Marzban Nameh’

TEHRAN, Sep. 23 (MNA) – Iranian director has animated some stories from literary classic ‘Marzban Nameh’ in 13 episodes; will animate other chapters. Director of series told Mehr News that every episode of the animation lasted around 15 minutes and the producing team started dubbing the first 13 episodes. Marzban Nameh, an early 13th-century prose work in Persian consisting of various didactic stories and fables used as illustrations of morality and right conduct. It was written in 13th century by a translator/author Sa’ad-al-Din Varavini. The work was rewritten by Ali Hazratpour in modern Persian; the animation is set in two and three dimensional techniques. The director mentioned that the producer team was innovative and made new characters in modern forms and styles to appeal to the modern tastes of the audience. Soltanifar pointed to indigenous elements in the animation and said that national Iranian elements engraved on Persepolis and remaining on the ancient relics were featured in the animation.
