Iranian film awarded at 24th Black Intl. Cinema Berlin

TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) – Ali Hashemi’s short film The Next Morning was awarded for the best expressionist narration at the 24th Black International Cinema Berlin in Germany. The Next Morning, a 24-mintue drama and Hashemi’s second short film after Wish which has previously received the best sound recording award as well as a plaque of honor for best direction at Tehran International Short Film Festival, won the award for the best expressionist narration at the 24th Black International Cinema Berlin in Germany. The Next Morning recounts the story of a young woman who wakes up to perform her daily routine, but realizes that nobody recognizes her anymore. What she first assumes as a mistake then transforms into her new reality. The Black International Cinema Berlin focuses on presenting works of an artistic, cultural or political nature coinciding with the general educational, social, artistic and economic interest of people from intercultural communication.
