Iranian lawyer rejects death rumors of client before court verdict

Tehran, Aug 12, IRNA – An Iranian lawyer has rejected news by certain western newspapers that a client of his was dead before receiving his death penalty sentence in the court. The British newspaper Daily Telegraph had claimed Iran sentenced “a dead man” to death to cover up his torture. Attorney of Mohammad Ali Taheri who is in jail for blasphemy and leading a so-called spiritual circle with fake beliefs rejected the news which accused “the Iranian government 0f posthumously sentencing him to death to cover up his death from torture and hunger strike.” Alizadeh Tabatabi has said he visited his client in the Revolutionary Court a while ago. He said there is a video clip available about the meeting which was taken without his knowledge by security forces. The clip is available now on the Internet, he said.
