Iranian teen musician compiles book on best violinists of the world

TEHRAN,Nov.2(MNA) -- Maziar Reiisi, a 17-year-old violin virtuoso compiled a book on the best classical violinists of the world. “The Best Violinists of the World”, which was published by Shidmehr, was unveiled during ceremony at the Iran House of Music on Tuesday. Reiisi and veteran composer Shahin Farhat attended the ceremony, the house announced on Thursday. “I do not consider myself a writer,” Reiisi said during the ceremony. “This book is only a research work. As a violinist, I used to feel a lack of motivation for a while. I gradually became familiar with a number of master violinists and I was determined to be a player like them,” he added. “My aim is to promote my favorite music through compiling this book… By this book, I want to say that everybody in every age is able to work and not to be afraid of criticism,” he said. It took two years for Reiisi to compile the book. “His work is admirable and I wanted to do my share in this work,” Shidmehr Managing Director Sheida Esmaeili said. “The young generation has a brilliant mind for study and henceforth, the helm of research will be in the hands of the youth,” Farhat said. “This shows that the heritage of the past musicians will not be spoiled,” he added.
