Iranian translator working on the novel “Icefall”

TEHRAN,Nov.25(MNA) – Iranian translator Mahbubeh Najafkhani is currently working on a Persian translation of the book “Icefall” by U.S. author Matthew J. Kirby. “I have so far worked on part of the translation but I am not in a hurry to finish the book, since I prefer to transfer the message and the words of the author in the best way possible,” Najafkhani said on Sunday. She added that Ofoq Publications has announced willingness to publish the book; however it has not been specific yet. Critically acclaimed author Matthew J. Kirby deftly weaves a stunning coming-of-age tale with chilling cleverness and subtle suspense that will leave readers racing breathlessly to the end, writes Amazon on its website. “Trapped in a hidden fortress tucked between towering mountains and a frozen sea, Solveig--along with her brother the crown prince, their older sister and an army of restless warriors--anxiously awaits news of her father’s victory in battle.” “Icefall” has so far received several international awards including the 2012 Edgar Award for Juvenile Fiction.
