Iranian woman wins World Fair Play Awards

Tehran, IRNA – The deputy head of Iran Canoeing, Rowing, and Sailing Federation received World Fair Play Awards. Katayoon Ashraf grabbed Willi Daume World Fair Play Diploma. The award was granted to Ashraf for her efforts for developing women’s sports in 2017, talent spotting, and training teenagers and coaches (which resulted in receiving two Olympic quotas in 2018), holding the Asian Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships in Karaj, and judging 2019 and 2021 World Slalom Championships. The International Fair Play Committee (CIFP) is a not-for-profit international non-governmental organization that serves to foster sportsmanship in international competition.
