Iran's Cultural Week Starts In Tunisia

Beirut, Oct 15, IRNA – Iran's first cultural week in Tunisia, after Islamic Awakening in that country, kicked off its work on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati. In the opening ceremony, Tunisian Minister of Culture Mourat Sakli, Minister of Education Fathi al-Jarray and a number of Tunisian university professors and students and artists were present. Deputy head of Culture and Islamic Communication Organization Mohammad Hussein Hashemi, Iran's new Ambassador to Tunis Mustafa Boroujerdi and Iran's Cultural Attaché in Tunis Sadeq Ramazani Gulafzani were among participants, too. Hashemi, accompanied by 30 Iranian artists in the fields of music, theatre, cinema, literature, plastic arts as well as some handicraftsmen are in Iranian group in Tunisia. The cultural week will last until October 19, 2014.10.15 Ministers of Culture of the both countries are to sign two agreements on cooperation in the fields of music and book translation.
