Iran's Culture Min. Stresses Expansion Of Ties With Turkey

Ankara, June 27, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini said expansion of cultural ties with Turkey will lead to promotion of political and economic relations between the two countries. Hosseini arrived here on Wednesday for a three-day official visit at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Ertugrul Gunay. In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said he was visiting Turkey to take part in Iran's Cultural Week ceremonies here and meet with Turkish officials to review issues of mutual interests. Noting that cultural relations between the two countries have witnessed appropriate growth in recent years, the minister said holding such events will help increase familiarity of the Turkish people with Iran's rich civilization. He also said during Iran's Cultural Week ceremonies, the Iranian delegation will try to offer realities of the Iranian life to Turkish visitors./end
