Iran`s Farhadi to preside over jury of Mumbai filmfest

TEHRAN,Oct.1(MNA) -- Celebrated Iranian director Asghar Farhadi will head the jury at the 15th Mumbai Film Festival, which will be held in India from October 17 to 24. Afghan filmmaker Siddiq Barmak, British director Waris Hussein, Australian editor Jill Bilcock and film critic Roger Garcia from Hong Kong are the members of the jury. Farhadi and French director Leos Carax are also scheduled attend a panel to discuss various issues on cinema during the event. “Downpour” by the acclaimed Iranian director Bahram Beizai will go on screen at the Restored Classics section of the event. “Sunlight, Moonlight, Earth” by Ali Qavitan is another Iranian entry, which will be shown in the World Cinema section of the festival. Over 200 films from over 65 countries will be screened during this edition of the festival.
