Iraq Participates In An Interactive Dialogue On Libya

Baghdad / NINA /- The Chargé d'Affaires of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office in Geneva Abbas Kadhim Obaid participated in the interactive dialogue on the report of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights in Libya in the work of the (43) session of the Human Rights Council. In his statement, the Chargé d'Affaires affirmed in his statement, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it, assured “Iraq’s firm position that a peaceful solution is the basis in dealing with crises and conflicts that countries are exposed to.” He called on the international community to unite its efforts to implement the relevant international resolutions in support of stability and constructive dialogue between all Libyan parties to achieve national reconciliation, stressing the lack of external interference in their affairs, stopping the flow of arms in illegal ways to them, and assisting them in combating terrorism and eliminating it. / End
