Iraq, Ukraine Discuss Ways To Develop Relations Between The Two Countries In The Field Of Education

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - Iraq and Ukraine discussed ways to develop relations between the two countries in the field of education.

"Iraq's Ambassador to Ukraine Bakr Ahmed Al-Jaf met at his office in the embassy building (Olina Alexandrovna Shapovalova), director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science," a foreign ministry statement said.

During the meeting, the ambassador reviewed the developments of the educational process in Iraq and the interest of the Iraqi government in preparing competent academic cadres to run the state institutions in various political, economic, scientific and cultural fields, stressing that there are quite a few of these graduates from Ukrainian universities and institutes.

For her part, the Ukrainian official confirmed that her country is prepared to stand by the Iraqi government-led construction process for the reconstruction to what have caused by Daesh gangs of destruction in cities and areas before being liberated by the Iraqi armed forces."

The Ambassador discussed with the Ukrainian official "ways to develop Iraqi-Ukrainian relations in the field of education and ways to overcome obstacles and problems facing Iraqi students studying in Ukrainian universities and institutes and in the Iraqi private school."/ End
