Iraqi blast victims in Iran for DNA test

Tehran, Nov 26, IRNA - Bodies of 71 Iranian pilgrims who have attained martyrdom in a terrorist attack in Iraq were transferred home on Friday evening for DNA test. Head of the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization Ahmad Shojaei said that the bodies are at the airport and will be transferred to ILMO for DNA test. The bodies, 59 of which have been totally burnt, will go through DNA tests for identification. A truck bomb went off in the Shoumeli village, 120 kilometers southeast of Baghdad, targeting vehicles loaded with passengers most of them Iranians who were returning home from the holy shrines in Iraq after Arba'een rituals. Reports so far put the number of the dead at more than 71 with a lot more injured. 1378/IRNA
