Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Heads To The U.S

BAGHDAD / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Saleh al-Mutlaq headed to the United States on an official visit lasting several days at the head of a delegation that included a number of officials and parliamentarians , among them MPs Izzat al-Shabandar and Nada al-Jubouri . A statement by Mutlaq's Office cited that: "The Deputy Prime Minister will deliver a speech at the Center for Strategic Studies of the Near East and South Asia , and will meet with American officials and members of Congress to discuss the political problems facing Iraq and focus on the situation in Anbar province, and the military campaign carried out by the security forces against terrorists in the desert of Anbar . " The statement added : "Mutlaq will carry security threats files and the worried situation that threaten the people in Fallujah and Ramadi and several cities in Anbar province , and will review the events and the demands made by the sitters that discussed in the both Five and Seven committees of and the Council of Ministers and some of these demands transferred to parliament without being voted upon " . / End
