Iraqi Foreign Minister, Jaafari Meets With His Kuwaiti Counterpart in New Yourk

Washington / NINA / Iraqi Foreign Minister, Ibrahim al-Jaafari met with his Kuwaiti counterpart First Deputy Prime Minister Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York. Sabah confirmed to Jaafari during the meeting Kuwait's keenness to "support the security and stability of Iraq and its unity and territorial integrity." Sabah congratulated al-Jaafari also on the formation the new Iraqi government and stressed "the need to strengthen the historical relations between the two governments and the two brotherly peoples."
