Iraqi House Speaker Meets With Obama

BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqi House Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi discussed with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington, the bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common concern . Nujaifi, according to a statement for his office, handed two letters to the U.S. President, the first one included the major obstacles that impede the march of the political process in Iraq and effective solutions to evaluate their tracks by relying on sound fundamentals and foundations of democracy , while the second letter, which was form Christian community, carried Iraq's Christians conditions. For his part, President Obama stressed his country's readiness to enhance cooperation with Iraq, and provide various kinds of support, including its war against terrorism, and supporting the political parties when dealing with crises. / End
