Iraqi President Meets With Turkey's President in New York

BAGHDAD / NINA / The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed the Turkish's stand with Iraq in this difficult phase, pointing to the need to support the work for liberating all areas from the control of the Islamic State (IS), expressing Turkey's readiness to contribute in this area. A presidential statement said that "the President, Fuad Masum met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York, in the presence of Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, where Erdogan confirmed Turkish Republic's stand with Iraq in this difficult phase." Erdogan also stressed that "the relations between Iraq and Turkey are good relations, expressing his aspiration to replenish and develop these relations forward."
