IRI AND US HOUSE DEMOCRACY PARTNERSHIP TO INTENSIFY COLLABORATION WITH SGK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 20, Secretary-general of the Secretariat of the State Great Khural (Parliament) B.Boldbaatar received delegates from the International Republican Institute and the House Democracy Partnership of the United States House of Representatives. At the beginning of meeting, Secretary-general B.Boldbaatar wished the representatives to have a pleasant visit to Mongolia and briefed about the parliamentary activities. He underlined that the Secretariat of the State Great Khural pays a particular attention to empowering its employees' professional skills while seeking to implement best practices in the world, particularly, to introduce the Congress experiences. Furthermore, the trilateral partnership between the International Republican Institute, House Democracy Partnership and the Secretariat will be intensifying in the future, emphasized B.Boldbaatar. The delegates led by Ms. Ashleigh Whelan, Country Director in Mongolia at International Republican Institute, thanked for a warm reception. At the end of meeting, the sides exchanged views on extending and enhancing collaboration between the offices, reports the Press and Public Relations of the SGK. After this, A.Bakei MP met with the delegations and exchanged opinions on the further cooperation. He asked delegates to share achievements of the HDP program in improving legislative bodies of other countries.
