Islamic Dawa Deputy Lauds Qatar's Support

Doha, May 24 (QNA) - The Deputy Secretary General of the Khartoum-based Islamic Dawa Organization (IDO) Ambassador, Atta Al-Manan Bakheit praised the support of HH the Emir and the Qatari government and people to the organization. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Atta Al-Manan said that Qatar opens doors to charitable and humanitarian work, serving issues of the nation and providing humanitarian assistance to the poorer and needy people in the Islamic countries. He stressed necessity for enhancing coordination and partnership among Islamic charitable and humanitarian organizations so as to manage systematically and regulatory this work. Bakheit noted that the magnitude of the disasters in the Islamic world is greater than the potential of charitable and humanitarian organizations working in this field, underscoring the importance of building partnerships to provide more job opportunities, time and money to serve the needy . He also praised efforts of the Office of the Organization of the Islamic Da'wa in Qatar in managing this work as well as its excellent relationship with donors and Qatari benefactors. Ambassador Atta Al-Mannan called for raising media awareness about charitable and humanitarian work and preparing journalists and media men specialized in this area, saying that the IDO seeks to form a humanitarian media network.
