ISOC Region 4 carries on flood relief mission in Thai South

BANGKOK, January 7 (TNA) - Officers of Thailand's Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) Region 4 have continued providing assistance to flood victims in the southern region and will remain there until the situation returns to normal. Thai Defence Minister General Yuthasak Sasiprapa confirmed the continued mission on Saturday, saying that he has ordered the ISOC Region 4 to offer full aid to the southern flood victims. General Yuthasak acknowledged that about 10,000 military personnel having deployed in the flood-affected southern areas should be sufficient in providing care to local flood victims. Meanwhile, Thailand's major opposition Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, accompanied by his party members, left Bangkok by plane early Saturday for the flood-hit Nakhon Si Thammarat Province to participate in a ‘big cleaning Day’ at areas where the situation has been returning to normal.
