It's major relief to be going home with the kids: Arunabhash

Kolkata, Apr 25 (PTI) Ending the prolonged custody row in Norway, the two Indian toddlers arrived here from New Delhi Tuesday evening with their uncle Arunabhash Bhattacharya and headed to their ancestral house at Kulti in Burdwan district of West Bengal state. Abhigyyan (3) and Aishwarya (1) had reached New Delhi earlier in the day to a rousing reception at the Indira Gandhi international airport. Uncle Arunabhash accompanied the two kids from New Delhi by an Air-India flight. Maternal grandparents Monotosh and Sikha Chakraborty were present at the airport to receive the children. Arunabhash said, "It's a major relief. We are very happy. We are thankful to External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Brinda Karat who helped us a lot." Brinda Karat is a politburo member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) had played a major role in drawing the attention of the Indian authorities to the case. The mother of the kids Sagarika, who returned to India last month, is now stated to be in Mumbai. Their father Anurup Bhattacharya, working in Oslo as a geoscientist, is likely to return to India next month after obtaining permission of the Norwegian government.
