BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari confirmed that the return of Iraqi relations with various countries of the world and especially the neighboring countries would provide security and stability to the region. A statement by Jaafari's office said that "Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari met with Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Daniel Matov," noting that "the two meetings discussed the conduct of relations and ways of strengthening them."
