Jackie Chan Arrives To Help Quake Victims In Nepal

By Yuba Nath Lamsal KATHMANDU, June 9 (Bernama) -- Hollywood action movie star Jackie Chan arrived in Kathmandu Tuesday to support earthquake victims of Nepal. He flew in to Kathmandu on an Air China flight Tuesday and is scheduled to hand over relief materials to the Nepal Red Cross Society to be distributed to earthquake victims of Siddhipur and Lalitpur, said Ishwari Regmi, a senior officer of the Nepal Red Cross Society China Red Cross Society coordinated his trip to Nepal. He had announced to personally donate US$100,000 at a charity function in Singapore last month, which was organised to raise funds for Nepal’s earthquake victims. Chan is scheduled to return to Hong Kong late Tuesday immediately after handing over the relief materials. -- BERNAMA
