Jalali: Using Iran's capacities needed for regional, int'l security

Luxembourg, May 8, IRNA – Iran is the most stable regional country using whose capacities is necessary for preserving regional and international security, Head of Iranian Parliamentary Relations Group with the EP Kazem Jalali said here on Friday. Speaking with the visiting Foreign Minister of Luxemburg Jean Asselborn, Jalali said that campaign against terrorism is in need of taking practical and serious steps and refraining from demonstrative moves. Referring to the criminal acts committed by the Daesh terrorist group, he said that the ISIS the wild and criminal acts committed by that terrorist group against the defenseless innocent people were conducted relying on the financial and logistical support of certain countries. Jalali who is also the head of the Iranian Parliament's Research Center said that the Daesh terrorists are after defeats in Iraq and Syria not seen in the southern and eastern parts of Afghanistan and keeping in mind the poverty in central Asian countries, they are recruiting forces from those countries, which is why the world should be alert about the matter. Referring to Saudi Arabia's moves in Yemen, Jalali said that problems in Yemen could be resolved through holding dialogue, but the extralegal military act of the Saudi Arabia disturbed that solution and led to the emergence of greater problems in that country. 'The Saudi act is an obvious case of interference in another county's internal affairs and in international laws' viewpoint that move is initiation of a bad innovation,' he reiterated. Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, too, welcoming the Iranian delegation said that he has visited Tehran and Isfahan and enjoyed his visit of Iran. He said that the greatest philosophers of the Islamic world are Iranian, Shi'a Muslims and that is a great pride for the Iranians. Asselborn said that Iran-Luxembourg relations are expanding and such meetings and achieving success in the nuclear negotiations can further expand them. On ISISI acts in the region, including in Mosul and the other Iraqi cities, he said that they are horrendous and that he had in a visit of the region eye witnessed those sorrowful events. On Yemen developments, too, Luxembourg's top diplomat expressed hope that the recent ceasefire there will both be real and last longer than initially scheduled.
