Japan To Cooperate With S. Sumatra

Palembang, S Sumatra, May 15 (ANTARA) - Japan is expected to cooperate with Indonesia`s South Sumatra province in the development of the Tanjung Api Api area, Banyuasin District, South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin said. Governor Alex Noerdin after hosting a dinner for Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Yoshinori Katori, said that the ambassador had observed the province`s special economic zone and had expressed interest in making investment on it. The governor said that South Sumatra hoped the meeting would be followed up so that Japan could increase its investment in Indonesia. He said that Japan was interested in the development of floating piers, adding that Japan was more interested in the construction of a floating pier.
