Japan Dispatches Relief Aid To Iran’s Quake-stricken Areas

Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA – The Japanese Embassy in Tehran said Tokyo has provided 90 million yens (dlrs 1.1 million) worth of relief aids to Iran’s quake-stricken areas. According to the embassy, the amount will be spent on purchasing pre-structured residential units for victims of the earthquake. Tokyo also expressed gratitude to the Iranian government for its assistance to victims of the killer earthquake in eastern Japan. A recent earthquake in northwestern Iran killed at least 300 people and injured around 5,000 people./end
