Japan To Help Renovate School In Biak

BIAK, Papua, May 24 (Antara) - The government of Japan through its embassy in Jakarta in the 2018 budget year will help renovate the Amparu Elementary School in North Bia, Papua Province. "The renovation, assisted by Japan, will start around June or July 2018," local Education Department Chief Tineke Mansnembra remarked here on Thursday. She said the attention of Japanese government to the renovation of the Amparu Elementary School is a manifestation of cooperation between the governments of Indonesia and Japan. Mansnembra expressed hope that the renovation process will run smoothly and be completed properly. "The education office of Biak Numfor is grateful to the Japanese government for helping to renovate the Amparu Elementary School building," said the first female education department head of Biak. The existence of Amparu Inpres Primary School School in the future, she added, is expected to become a child-friendly pilot school in the suburbs of the northern coastal area of the island of Biak.
