Japan's "Child support" fund is to implement project in 30 soums

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A "Public initiative support scholarship" project will be launched by this fund in 30 distant soums of Arkhangai, Uvurkhangai, Sukhbaatar and Dornod provinces in December of 2013. As expected, the project will help provide aged 5-10 children from herder and vulnerable families with an education and control its quality. A term of the project will depend on the needs of the children targeted, so far it has been calculated as 6-12 months. By the way, this Japanese fund has been implementing another project named "Increase in quality of basic education of herder and vulnerable families' children in remote countryside" for a period of 4 years starting from June of 2012 spending 2.5 million USD in a form of non-refundable financial aid from the Japanese Social Development Fund, the World Bank's trust fund. This time, the above fund will pay more attention to the children who are not able to get involved in pre-school education.
