JICA CONDUCTS SURVEY IN DISABLED PEOPLE ISSUES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Japan International Cooperation Agency /JICA/ has started here a research into matters regarding the disabled. The one-month research will focus on all aspects of the disabled such as their living conditions and legal environment and an assistance they receive from the state. The JICA delegates met November 20 with a working group that has been formed due to amendments to a law on social protection of the disabled. The group, which is working on refining rules, standards and methods in order to realize the law, consists of delegates of several Ministries, medical doctors, teachers of the National University of Mongolia and secondary schools and kindergartens, of parents of disabled children. At the meeting, the sides shared views on education, health and complex program of rehabilitation for the disabled children.
