John Key Sentenced To 12 Years In Jail

Jakarta, Dec 28 (ANTARA) - The Central Jakarta district court sentenced John Kei, the first defendant in the murder case of Tan Harry Tantono (Ayung), the chief of PT Sanex Steel, to 12 years in jail on Thursday. "The first defendant, John Refra, is validly and convincingly proven guilty of committing a premeditated murder," chief judge Supradja said reading the verdict. He said he had violated Article 340 of the Criminal Code on premeditated murder in view of the incidents that followed after the defendant`s request for blank shares was rejected by Ayung. The court sentenced second defendant Jospeh Hungan to one year in jail and third defendant Mukhlis B Sahab to six months in jail.
