Jokowi - Kalla Duo Records High Score In Unpad Simulation

Bandung, W Java, April 16 (Antara) - The Security and Political Study Center (PSPK) of the Bandung-based Padjadjaran University (Unpad) stated that the Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla pair-up recorded the highest score in its presidential and vice presidential candidate simulation. The presidential-vice presidential candidate duo in the simulation entitled: "Analysis on Human Rights Implementation Agenda in 2014 General Elections" was assessed from the human right aspect. "The candidate pair in the simulation was assessed on nine indicators relating to human rights," PSPK Unpad Chairman Dr Muradi noted here on Wednesday. He explained that the nine indicators included the aspects of candidates` track records, the ideologies of the main and supporting political parties and the candidates` programs. "There are also other indicators such as commitment to settling past human right violations, good knowledge on human right issues, candidates` good image in the international scene and their relations with human rights communities," he elucidated. For each of the indicators, Muradi gave one point for the highest score and zero for the lowest one. Besides the Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla pair-up, there were also four other presidential-vice presidential pairs, namely the Machfud MD-Ahmad Heriawan, Aburizal Bakri-Pramono Anung, Prabowo-Hatta Rajasa and Wiranto-Hari Tanoe pairs. Based on the simulation, these pairs were recorded in the second to the fifth position respectively. "The score nature of this simulation is changeable, depending on the on-going political dynamism," Dr Muradi pointed out.
