Jordanian Prime Minister Receives Iraqi Foreign Minister

Amman, Jordon (NINA) - Jordanian Prime Minister Hani al-Mulqi affirmed the depth of the historical and brotherly relations between his country and Iraq and stressed the importance of maintaining joint cooperation in all fields to serve the interests of both countries and peoples. During his meeting with Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, who is currently visiting Amman, the Jordanian Prime Minister also blessed Iraq with the important victories in the war against Da'ash gang and the terrorist gangs and the start of strengthening security and stability in all parts of the Iraqi state. He said: We are one of the countries that were at the forefront of the war on terrorism to serve our humanity and the security and stability of our societies. He added that Jordan will not spare any effort to support Iraq in its war against terrorism and to restore its national presence and promote its economy. He stressed that Iraq is returning to its natural and great status as an active player in the Arab nation. Al-Mulqi pointed out that Jordan, by virtue of the brotherly relations and good neighborliness and the vast experience it possesses in all fields, can have, in coordination with the brothers in Iraq and other Arab parties, active contributions in the reconstruction process in Iraq. For his part, Jaafari praised Jordan's support for Iraq during the last period in which Iraq faced extremely difficult circumstances as a result of terrorism and terrorist acts that targeted its security and stability. He pointed to the facilities provided by the Jordanian government to Iraqis living in the Kingdom, including the opening of polling stations in Jordan for the participation of Iraqis residing at Jordon in the Iraqi parliamentary elections this month. He stressed that Jordanian companies are invited to invest in Iraq after establishing security and stability./ End
