KAHRAMAA Achieves Safety Milestone

Doha, August 31 (QNA) - The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation's (KAHRAMAA) Electricity Project department has achieved 47 million work hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) until second quarter of 2015 from the beginning of the year. The figure includes KAHRAMAA and its contractors both. The total work hours without LTI for the period was achieved at Phase 10 and Phase 11 of Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion Projects. During Phase 10, total 34 million work hours was achieved while 13 million work hours was achieved for Phase 11 of Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion Projects. This significant achievement is a clear reflection of KAHRAMAA's commitment to ensuring that safety remains a core value in all its operations and activities. The remarkable achievement became a reality as a result of KAHRAMAAs ongoing commitment to safety, security and through its stringent safety strategies, systems, processes and vigilant monitoring mechanism. "Our safety achievement reflects KAHRAMAA's commitment to creating a safe and secured workplace by setting high safety standards and ensuring operational excellence and caring for the environment. KAHRAMAA does not compromise on its safety standards. What we have achieved is the outcome of relentless efforts of our staff, consultants and contractors together", said KAHRAMAA's President Eng.
